RED CAD installation

To successfully install and activate the RED CAD APP, your computer must meet the system requirements and you must have the appropriate rights on your computer to install software.

Download the RED CAD APP here

Installation instructions

  1. Unzip the downloaded ZIP file  
  2. Run the unzipped installation file RedCadAppSetup_vXXX.exe 
  3. Follow the instructions and complete the installation
  4. If everything has been installed correctly, the message ‘Exiting the RED CAD APP Setup Wizard’ will appear 
  5. Click Finish to complete the installation process. 
  6. Start the RED CAD APP and proceed with activation.

Frequently asked questions about support

How much does support cost?

If you have a valid subscription or are testing the demo version, support is included. If you do not have a contract, we charge for support as follows: Flat rate including 10 minutes for £20.00 / from the 11th minute onwards, an additional £1.50 per minute, or in euros

I am currently testing RED CAD and need help.

As a trial customer, you have full access to our support. At no cost.

What is remote support?

Remote support means that a support employee accesses your computer directly with your permission. This allows them to see your screen and help you. This greatly simplifies support. We use TeamViewer for remote support. Access only works if you give permission on your PC. This means we can only access your computer if you want us to.

How does remote support work?

If you would like remote support, you will normally be in telephone contact with a member of staff. You will then be asked to start Quicksupport by pressing the ‘F11’ key if you are in the RED CAD APP or via a link. Once Quicksupport has started, you must give the member of staff your ID, which will be displayed to you. The member of staff can now connect.

What are the system requirements?

Operating Sistem

Windows from Win7 SP1, 64-bit recommended, (.NET Framework: 4.8 or newer) Mac OS not compatible (only with virtual machine)

 CPU 

Intel Core i series processor or comparable. Min. 3GHz clock frequency (no ARM processors) 

Memory 

Min. 4GB / Recommended 8GB RAM or more.

Graphics card 

Dedicated graphics card is an advantage

We are planning a server change outside of your support hours

If you need help outside of support hours, please contact us. Whenever possible, we will try to find a solution.

I haven't worked with RED CAD for a long time and need an introduction

A short introduction of 15-30 minutes is free of charge for contract customers once a year. However, we would be grateful if you could make an appointment so that we can really take the time.

I would like individual online training

Online training lasts around 60-120 minutes. We charge 120 Euro per hour. Please book an appointment for online training.
